Contents of the Wall Boxset
Disc 1 & 2 - These discs are a James Guthrie 2011 remastered version of the original album using the most up to date studio techniques to produce a much cleaner and crisper sound than the other re-masters of the past. These first two discs are essentially the "Discovery" edition of the release schedule for Pink Floyd's The Wall.
Discs 3 & 4 - These are Is There Anybody Out There: The Wall Live which have been digitally remastered in 2011 by James Guthrie. This was originally released in 2000 and is the original Wall performances by Pink Floyd from August 1980 and June 1981. Excellent recording for fans of The Wall and presented in the box set in re-mastered form so, if you haven't got it already to enjoy, then you will if you get The Wall Immersion Edition.
Disc 5 & 6 - These are the original demo recordings Roger Waters made of The Wall, production demos that the band made in a studio and David Gilmour's demos of Run Like Hell and Comfortably Numb. Part of the demos have been in circulation for many years in the form of a bootleg amongst "collectors" of such things although in poor quality. It is interesting to see how the songs developed from these original demos and hear alternate lyrics and musical pieces. The demos are well worth listening to in my opinion.
Disc 7 - This is a DVD with some excellent video on. It features Another Brick In The Wall pt2 promotional video – restored in 2011, Behind The Wall documentary, Gerald Scarfe Interview, and a short filmed extract of Earls Court concert featuring animation.
Memorabilia - Also in the box in the form of memorabilia is all of the blow goodies which will give you a more immersive experience of The Wall!
